NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 overclocking and 4K gaming benchmarks leaked

NVIDIA RTX 4080 with OC

We have some new synthetic tests featuring overclocked RTX 4080 graphics cards.

The RTX 4080 will gain up to 9% performance, with overclocking and power limit increased. That’s a good score considering the test was on a semi-custom RTX 4080 model (with NVIDIA reference board) and relatively low power limit adjustment (only by 10W).

We have obtained some results featuring RTX 4080 at stock, with power limit set to max and with additional clock adjustment. The card gains up to 9% in 3DMark TimeSpy Extreme and up to 7% with 3DMark Port Royal.

RTX 4080 Gaming leaks from China

Over at Chiphell, we can find gaming results from known hardware leaker “MEGAsizeGPU/BFK9K” featuring RTX 4080 with working drivers. The card was tested in a few games, including updated Forza Horizon 5, COD MW2, Cyberpunk 2077, Borderlands 3 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

The leaker used Ryzen 7 7600X CPU for this test, so if you have benchmarks with similar setup, then it may be worth of a comparison. In any other case, those results will not tell us much unless paired with similar specs. However, just for a sake of quick look, another Chiphell member provided the following RTX 4090/i9-12900KF results:

RTX 4090 vs. RTX 4080

  • Forza Horizon 5: 147 FPS vs. 127 FPS (+15.7%)
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider: 179 FPS vs. 129 FPS (+38.8%)
  • Red Dead Redemption 2: 129 FPS vs. 99 FPS (+30.3)
  • Cyberpunk 2077: 111 FPS vs. 83 FPS (33.7%)
  • CODE MW2: 137 FPS vs. 127 FPS (+7.9%)

NVIDIA RTX 4080 is set to launch exactly next week on November 16th. This model is equipped with AD103 GPU with 9728 CUDA cores and 16GB GDDR6X memory. There is no 12GB model planned anymore, so this is the only SKU being introduced.
