Ford Motor Co. F shares are trading higher Tuesday in sympathy with General Motors Co. GMwhich popped after the company reported better-than-expected financial results.
- GM Q3 Revenue: $41.89 trillion beat estimate of $41.77 billion.
- GM Q3 EPS: $2.25 beat estimate of $1.89.
“We’re delivering on our commitments and affirming our full-year guidance despite a challenging environment because demand continues to be strong for GM products and we are actively managing the headwinds we face,” said Mary Barra, chair and CEO of GM.
General Motors expects full-year adjusted earnings to be between $6.50 and $7.50 per share versus average analyst estimates of $6.79 per share. Full-year net income is expected to be between $9.6 billion and $11.2 billion.
Ford is scheduled to report its third-quarter results after the close on Wednesday. The company is expected to earn 32 cents per share on quarterly revenue of $36 billion, according to Benzinga Pro.

F Price Action: Ford has a 52-week high of $25.87 and a 52-week low of $10.61.
The stock was up 2.72% at $12.82 at time of writing, according to Benzinga Pro.
